“This is Not There”

In 1971, Yoko Ono had her first one woman show and her husband John Lennon was a guest artist.  The title of that show was “This is Not Here.”  As a young photojournalist, Kerby Smith spent days with them as they set up the show.  

In 1998, the book “A Racing Up The Sky” came out with the poetry of Tim Bellows and Kerby’s photos of the Fresno River .  

In 2007, Kerby revisited those images and produced a few selected art prints from the book.  Lura found her own images in them.  She created her own original works with oil pastels applied over some of the prints.
